Brrr…it’s cold outside! Don’t tell that to retailers though – Spring has almost sprung at your local shopping mall. Now is the time to start thinking about buying a great Spring dress – one that you can wear to dinner, an informal wedding, shower, graduation, luncheons, wherever! I love to get lots of wear from my clothes, so I usually opt for a couple of nice dresses every season so I don’t have to worry about what to wear. I found two cute styles at Marlo Miller Boutique in Houston – a geometric patterned style by Jude Connally, and a colorful print dress by Uncle Frank for Ivy Jane. It’s fun to try different shoes and accessories to change up the looks – closed pumps to be more formal, flat sandals to dress it down. I love a nice lightweight blazer to make it more “suity” – a wrap or shawl can give it a flirty or even an evening look. A statement necklace and lots of bangle bracelets are lots of fun to add. Try a beaded purse and head out to dinner. A cross-body bag and flats make it casual and perfect for weekend brunch. Start shopping early to check what’s out there – it pays to have a helpful saleslady at your favorite shop to clue you in when something that looks “just like you” comes in the door. Think Spring, and happy shopping! ~ Pat.
