Remember wearing a suit, pantyhose, heels - and a floppy bow tie - to your office job? You've come a long way, baby. While "work clothes" can mean many things, for those of us who need to look professional and stylish, there are lots of great options out there. My new White House/Black Market catalog has a working wardrobe of mix-and-match separates that would make a great start. Of course, most of the pieces were black and white, but this season they added some pretty pastel pink, a great color on most people. A blazer, slacks, simple dress, straight skirt, some pretty blouses, a sweater, some scarves and belts can take you through many wardrobe changes. WH/BM has many different styles of black pants from leggings to straight and fuller leg trousers. I find it's a good place to start when shopping for some wardrobe basics that can serve as a foundation for my more colorful purchases. ~ Pat.
