...according to us. OK, we're not trained dermatologists, but we feel that we've learned a few things along the way of what makes a good skincare regime & what doesn't. For example, we now know that toothpaste on zits is a bad idea! Here is a picture of Asbury Style Team member Andrea taken straight out of the shower. Not ancient by any standards but for 40+ her skin is not bad! Why? Because she follows these rules:
In the morning
Cleanse: use a gentle cleanser to prep your skin for the day.
Treat: this is the time to use a treatment serum such as Vitamin C.
Nourish: use a rich, but gentle, face cream.
Protect: SPF! SPF! SPF! So important!
In the evening
Cleanse: same gentle cleanser but make sure to get all that make up off!
Treat: another treatment serum; we highly recommend one with Vitamin A or Retinol but be careful if you have sensitive skin.
Nourish: a nourishing face cream or oil ~ yes oil on your face! The newer face oils are lightweight & make your skin glow. Look for ingredients such as rosehip or argan oil.
This probably sounds like a lot but once you get in the habit it only takes a few minutes & the results are totally worth it!
What do you think? Do you do anything different?
