Parties, Open Houses, Holiday events - what to wear? My standard party uniform consists of black pants and tank top, with rotating jackets and sweaters. It's an easy look to pull off and is appropriate for the Symphony as well as house parties or the office shindig. I have a couple of sequined jackets to up my game, and a sparkly sweater or two for more casual outings. With all the hustle and bustle this time of year, don't stop to worry about what to wear! Pants from Talbots, Worth New York jacket and Stella & Dot jewelry. Stay festive ~ Pat
It's Election Day, folks - how about this Stella & Dot statement necklace to liven up your trip to the polls? Layers of fun and festive. Enjoy! ~ Pat
This season we are seeing lots of burgundy and olive fashions. I picked up this gold metal and black leather necklace from Stella & Dot that will layer nicely with rich fall colors. It's a great stand alone piece, or works with longer chains too. I love the mix of textures and can picture it with a comfy sweater and some great jewel-toned jeans! ~ Pat

Statement necklaces have been around for awhile, but this stunner from Stella & Dot caught my eye. In mixed metals, the layers come apart to be worn separately as well. This versatile piece can then be worn more simply with casual wear, or you can go all-out for evening as a bold accessory. This now has a happy home in my jewelry wardrobe!

When I'm going out for a Saturday afternoon with the ladies I like to make an effort but I also want to be comfortable. Take a nice, long line blouse, skinny jeans, booties, & finish with a great necklace & purse. I love soft colors such as this blush blouse by Ann Taylor Loft. ~ Andrea.
Well, technically... I fell in love with this flowy maxi dress. Paired with my favorite flat sandals and a layered necklace and this Labor Day weekend look is going to be just right! What are you doing this holiday weekend? ~ Cathy.
Ever since I started browsing for versatile dresses, this olive one keeps popping up. I think it is a sign! Buying it today and pairing it with this layered gold tone necklace and these snake skin sandals. Are you also a fan of snake skin shoes? ~ Cathy.
I just spied this super cute, flowy sundress. It is cheap and casual and would be one I will throw in a beach bag to change after some outdoors entertainment. If this type of dress makes you feel too exposed on top, then grab a tank (not a camisole as that isn't the most current choice) and do a layered look. Paired with a long necklace and a medium shade of brown sandals this is great to embrace one's inner hippy and enjoy a weekend of fun in the sun! ~ Cathy.
I fell in love with maxi dresses back in 2009 when they made their first comeback from the sixties. If possible, I could wear one almost every day. They are tailor made for the weekend and this little number has my name on it. I love it with the wedge sandals and then I would throw on a bunch of bangle bracelets and long necklace and be dressed for almost any fun outing. Do you like maxis too? ~ Cathy.

You've heard about them- statement necklaces. You've seen them everywhere, from discount stores to chic boutiques. Perhaps you've been afraid to take the plunge - they are kind of big, aren't they? While they may be more jewelry than you've ever worn, with the right outfit they can really make a "statement."
