When the weather cools down many of us reach for a chunky sweater. This makes sense because it's cold, however, one chunky sweater may not be the best option. Why? Firstly, chunky sweaters are not the most flattering, several thin layers look much better ~ take a look at the pictures. The chunky sweater makes her look larger than she is. Secondly, one large sweater is no good when going from outside to inside as it doesn't allow for the temperature change. With several layers it's easy to add or remove one or two items. With the chunky sweater she can't even get her jacket on! Thirdly, layering allows you to play with different colors which adds interest to your outfit. Finally, the layering looks a lot smarter than one big sweater. This layered look would even work for casual Friday.
Here we have jeans with a navy blue tank, sky blue long sleeve shirt, gray wool vest & a tan cord jacket: lots of layers to stay warm. We finished the look off with a brown necklace & a nice pair of warm boots.
