Parties, Open Houses, Holiday events - what to wear? My standard party uniform consists of black pants and tank top, with rotating jackets and sweaters. It's an easy look to pull off and is appropriate for the Symphony as well as house parties or the office shindig. I have a couple of sequined jackets to up my game, and a sparkly sweater or two for more casual outings. With all the hustle and bustle this time of year, don't stop to worry about what to wear! Pants from Talbots, Worth New York jacket and Stella & Dot jewelry. Stay festive ~ Pat
I love to wear jeans, but sometimes need to look a bit more dressed up. Throw on a tweed jacket and some boots, and you are ready to go! ~ Pat
Ready for some football? I've become a college sports fan in the last couple of years and always enjoy attending events. A sudden change in the weather caught me without a wrap so I ducked into a local shop and added this sweater to my wardrobe. Here's hoping your fave team wins this weekend! ~ Pat
Remember when the only people wearing leather jackets were James Dean and Danny in "Grease?" While once the uniform of edgy guys in the movies, they are now a staple of every well-dressed gal's closet. This red beauty by Worth New York may just be on my shopping list for fall! ~ Pat.

I'm a huge fan of most anything Italian, so I jumped at the chance a few years ago to meet heartthrob singer Matteo Setti at an event in Houston. I wore a black cocktail dress and fitted blazer from White House/Black Market - which I still have, of course. Such a fun evening! ~ Pat.
The first day of Spring has arrived, and Easter is this weekend. Time to pull out some bright colors and celebrate! Here I decided to "go green" and mix it up with some white jeans. Hope it's pretty weather wherever you are! ~ Pat

It's that time of year when there are parties every day! I love going out but even we Asbury Lane Style ladies get overloaded with yet another outfit change! When I'm on dressing up overload I go with the basics: black jeans, black boots & black leather jacket. Just change out the top & the jewelry to change up the look. I also use these basics when I travel as they're easy to pack & you can wear this kind of outfit almost anywhere. Don't know about you but I'm going to be spending this Sunday recovering from too much partying! ~ Andrea.
We are officially in the holiday season and the party invites are piling up. What to wear? I love a great jacket. I picked up this number from Worth New York, and I plan to wear it dressed up with black slacks, and more casual with my jeans. It is smashing with a turtleneck or camisole. A statement necklace or some bold earrings can totally change up the look. If you're like me, I have different sets of friends, acquaintances and colleagues, so I can stretch my wardrobe dollars by wearing the same pieces as the party guest lists are unique! Have fun, and don't drink too much egg nog. ~ Pat.
It's finally feeling like Fall here in Houston! Time to organize your closet and rediscover some pieces from last year that still look great. I added a new Worth New York jacket to a pullover from last year's line as well as some slacks from Talbot's distant past that never seem to wear out. I love adding items that bring new life to old favorites! Cheers ~ Pat.

Leather jackets are a great investment piece. I have had this one for probably ten years. Take good care of them and they will give you many seasons of enjoyment. Put a sweater underneath and you have a winter coat. Throw on with jeans, a skirt or dress. This is one of my favorite go-to pieces! ~ Pat.
Why? They look good with almost anything: jeans, pants, skirts, dresses... & they come in a variety of materials: leather, faux leather, denim, cotton, fleece... You're sure to find one you like! ~ Andrea.
This is one way I wear mine: neutral colors & keep everything else simple. Add a moto style jacket to finish off the look. ~ Andrea.
... you can have both! Take a pair of straight leg black jeans, add some comfortable thicker heeled black booties, a flowy blouse in a neutral color such as this pale blush pink, add your necklace & bracelet, then finish off with a lightweight faux leather moto style jacket, & a cute purse such as this 'go with everything color' one we have here. Easy peasy! ~ Andrea.
So, you've been wanting to shake up your look for a while, and have seen a few things you'd like to try, but by the time you've bought a leather moto jacket, a new burgundy purse, a blush blazer...well, that's a lot of money! My tip is to buy faux leather or used clothing first, to try out a style. So instead of spending $500 on a black leather moto jacket, buy a faux leather one to see if you will actually wear it. I do this a lot. I try a style with the cheaper alternative, and if I end up wearing it a lot I know it's worth investing in the real deal. ~ Andrea.
This is what I'll be wearing for Labor Day...comfy t-shirt, comfy booties, it's all about the comfort! ~ Andrea.
That means a relaxed morning, an afternoon stroll, & then meeting friends later on. What to wear? My go to is always this kind of outfit: skinny leg jeans, short sleeve loose fit T, ankle boots, & a great looking jacket. If we all went to our closets now I bet we would all have items like these already in there! ~ Andrea.
As the weather warms I think tan is a great neutral accessory color that works with almost anything. During the cooler months my go to neutrals are the browns, taupes & beiges, but as it heats up I like to choose warmer looking options: enter tan. Use it in your bags, shoes, belts & jackets, & this color will go with everything from white & ivory through to blush pinks, turquoise & royal blues. ~ Andrea.
