Ah,yes...It is Houston's "fall." That means the temps drop below 80 degrees for at least a few days at a time. So to me, then and only then am I geared up to shop for boots. I have still basically been wearing sandals since March! Here are a few boots choices that definitely caught my eye. What do you think?~ Cathy

Houston doesn't recognize that it is November. Nah, it says... I'll just keep that thermostat jacked up in the high 80s. But how long can one keep wearing summer attire without looking ridiculous? Solution: Find lightweight flowy dresses in more autumn tones. I love olive green and think this would be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. Check out the crochet details. Pretty cool paired with these fetching open toe booties, right? ~Cathy

Last week, we featured a lovely bright green dress. It was a breath of fresh air, but I personally have a hard time getting away from black, white and gray. So how happy was I to come across this awesome stunner? It is such a classic paired with these super hot cropped boots. Helllooo Lover! ~ Cathy.
When the days are cooler & the weather can feel a bit, well, blarrgh, wearing something bright can make you feel better. Try bright, cooler, shades such as this fuchsia pink combined with royal blue. Pair with black shoes, bag & hat, & simple jewelry, as you don't want to clash. ~ Andrea.

Take one warm, pink turtleneck & combine with different bottoms to get several looks: blue jeans, brown leather skirt, dark purple denim, & a black velvet skirt. Finish off with burgundy accessories & don't forget your sunglasses! ~ Andrea.
If you're ever stuck with the what to wear issue, why not give the classic red & black combination a try. This never goes out of style & can be used for skirts & pants, work, nights out, or in my case here lunch with the ladies. This was a very simple outfit: red t-shirt tucked into a CAbi faux leather skirt, finished off with comfy booties & a simple necklace. ~ Andrea.
Holiday season is upon us. So time to spiff up the party wardrobe! I came across this incredible MICHAEL Michael Kors dress in this fine snakeskin print. This is a dress that I could see wearing to virtually any dressy event. Toss on some elegant cropped boots with a heel or wear with opaque tights and tall boots. And let the fun begin! ~ Cathy.

This picture was snapped while out & about with friends yesterday. Chocolate brown dress, mid brown booties, tan leather jacket, & just peeping out from the bottom of the jacket is my light beige/ivory purse. Often, wearing 4 different colors would look choppy, but this works because all the colors are from the same family: The Browns. More precisely, they are all warm browns (as opposed to cool browns with gray undertones such as taupe). This rule works for all color families; you can wear many different shades - they don't have to match, they just have to go together. ~ Andrea.
Stuck for something to wear, other than jeans, in this cooler weather? Throw on a sweater dress! They keep you warm, look nice, and often don't need ironing! ~ Andrea.
Here I am at the WORTH New York showroom in Houston, wearing one of my favorite, easy to wear looks: a shirt dress. I think I must have about 10 of these now, some tunic style like this one & some belted, but all super comfortable! I finished it off with booties & the good thing about shirt dresses is that when the weather cools you can simply add a fine knit turtleneck & tights & you have a new outfit! ~ Andrea.
When I'm going out for a Saturday afternoon with the ladies I like to make an effort but I also want to be comfortable. Take a nice, long line blouse, skinny jeans, booties, & finish with a great necklace & purse. I love soft colors such as this blush blouse by Ann Taylor Loft. ~ Andrea.
When relaxing with friends you want to be comfortable but that doesn't mean you can't stay stylish. Here I am wearing the most comfortable clothes: stretch skinny jeans, semi loose fit t, and some comfy booties. I finished it off with a simple necklace & bracelet & I had a very enjoyable - & comfortable - evening :) ~ Andrea.
Great, easy outfit for dinner with the ladies: black jeggings or skinny jeans, a pretty top, & a pair of easy to wear booties. As the top has the lace detail on it keep the jewelry around the neck area minimal, here I just wore earrings & a bracelet. Finish the look with a lightweight moto style jacket. ~ Andrea.
Andrea at a Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce event. Terrible hotel lighting! but the classic combination of a fine knit sweater tucked into a pencil skirt always looks good. She wore a sweater with some detail on the front and back, and finished off with some booties, to give it a more modern feel. Both the sweater and the skirt are by WORTH New York.
This is one way I wear mine: neutral colors & keep everything else simple. Add a moto style jacket to finish off the look. ~ Andrea.
One thing I really look forward to as the weather cools is the fact that I get to pull out all those items that are red. I'm talking about both bright & bold reds through to rich dark reds such as burgundy. The colors make us feel warm & you can pair them with black jeans, blue jeans, winter white trousers.... ~ Andrea.
I am in love with these great ankleboots. I can not decide which one I like best! What do you think? ~ Cathy.

... you can have both! Take a pair of straight leg black jeans, add some comfortable thicker heeled black booties, a flowy blouse in a neutral color such as this pale blush pink, add your necklace & bracelet, then finish off with a lightweight faux leather moto style jacket, & a cute purse such as this 'go with everything color' one we have here. Easy peasy! ~ Andrea.
As the seasons change we will all be looking at what we have in our closets. Here are 5 items that any Fall closet should have; they are classics that never date...
This is what I'll be wearing for Labor Day...comfy t-shirt, comfy booties, it's all about the comfort! ~ Andrea.
If you haven't done so already, now is the time to invest in a great pair of ankle boots. Why? They look great, they come in a plethora of styles, & unless you get them with ridiculously high heels, they are very comfortable. Wear them with skinny jeans, leggings, straight leg jeans with a slight cuff, & they even look cute with a skirt or dress. All the styles below are simple, comfortable & would go with almost any outfit. ~ Andrea.
That means a relaxed morning, an afternoon stroll, & then meeting friends later on. What to wear? My go to is always this kind of outfit: skinny leg jeans, short sleeve loose fit T, ankle boots, & a great looking jacket. If we all went to our closets now I bet we would all have items like these already in there! ~ Andrea.
