They never seem to go out of style, do they? I throw this wrap around top on over leggings, jeans and skirts and always feel great. Add sparkly jewelry and you have a perfect holiday party outfit. Enjoy! ~ Pat.

I was having a chat with friends the other day about what do we & our families wear on Christmas Day. Seems that some go very casual, while others make quite the effort. I always like to make an effort but not too much so as to be uncomfortable! This year I'll be wearing this sweater dress, comfortable yet smart looking. I'll pair it with black booties & of course my Holiday earrings! What does your family do? ~ Andrea.
Or is it? If you live in Houston, you don't need a coat that often, but when the need arises, how about a super cool one? I love this winter white fuzzy version. I have one almost just like it and when paired with a cool pair of shades like these classic Wayfarers, I feel quite glamorous! ~ Cathy.
Memories of past times are even sweeter when they involve the Christmas season. Throw in a Disney theme park and it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Here's hoping you are having a magical holiday. ~ Pat.
Do you find it challenging to select a fragrance for your guy? I have the hardest time in doing so since spraying it on those little strips of paper makes is almost impossible for me to determine which smells the best. But finally, I took Allure's advice ( my favorite and most trusted beauty mag) and did a sniff of their top men's fragrance "Best of Beauty" award for 2015. It is Dior's Sauvage and it is incredible! Divine! ~ Cathy.
I have always used liquid foundation. My few attempts at pressed powder foundation have not been successful. A friend introduced me to Rodan + Fields mineral makeup and I love it! It is so weightless on your skin, yet still provides a nice light coverage. No greasy feeling after a long day either. Check it out! ~ Pat.

It's that time of year when there are parties every day! I love going out but even we Asbury Lane Style ladies get overloaded with yet another outfit change! When I'm on dressing up overload I go with the basics: black jeans, black boots & black leather jacket. Just change out the top & the jewelry to change up the look. I also use these basics when I travel as they're easy to pack & you can wear this kind of outfit almost anywhere. Don't know about you but I'm going to be spending this Sunday recovering from too much partying! ~ Andrea.
This is an easy party look I wore last night. Take a long dress & add a belt. The belt creates a structured & finished look. Add some drop earrings & a cute clutch & you are ready for the party! My cat, Lily, also wanted to be in the pictures :) ~ Andrea.
For my husband's company Christmas Party, I searched for a great black lace dress. And voila! Here I found the perfect one. I used to love Maggy London dresses so this is like coming home again. And these pewter shoes make my heart sing with joy! ~ Cathy.

I'm looking through a box of old family photos. I found this silly picture my sister and I snapped years ago in one of those photo booths they used to have at the mall - before those contraptions became trendy. I started thinking how important ties to our relatives really are - for no matter how far we wander, there really is no place like "home." Even if "home" is only a place in your heart.
Wishing you many happy memories ~ Pat.
I don't know about you, but this time of year is the most challenging for my skin. Between the changeable weather, hectic schedules, frequent traveling and often evenings with cocktails and rich foods, my skin quickly gets fatigued and dehydrated. My favorite way to address these issues is to drink as much water as I can manage, exercise often and use a variety of masks. This old school style mud mask version from GlamGlow has been a huge help. Let us know if you have a favorite mask. ~ Cathy.
It's really easy to get too busy and stressed this time of year. I took a night off to watch a wonderful concert at a local university. Many colleges have jazz, orchestral, dance or vocal performances that are low cost or even free. So forget the shopping and decorating for one night and support some budding talent! ~ Pat.
I'm searching for a new winter trench style coat, but with so many great choices I'm struggling which one of these to pick. Which would you choose? ~ Andrea.
So you are invited to another holiday party and want to break out of your little black dress routine. But what do you choose instead? Personally, I am just wild about this cool embellished chiffon top. I love the intricate detailing and the unusual design. This would be a real show stopper when worn with a pair of fitted black pants or a pencil shirt. Toss on a pair of pointy toe heels and you are good to go. ~ Cathy.
Remember when real men wore hats? I don't mean the occasional cowboy hat we see here in Houston, or certainly not baseball caps. I mean a felt hat with a brim, dressy and sophisticated, like Humphrey Bogart or Don Draper wore. A man's man wore a hat, masculine and grown up. Little boys didn't wear hats, they were strictly the uniform of adult males. A real man knew when to wear a hat, certainly not in a restaurant or a church, and he always remembered to tip his topper at a pretty lady. Yes, it's a throwback to another era, but I kind of miss those days, don't you? ~ Pat.
I love eye shadow boxes, don't you? I think they always bring out one's inner child and the days of playing with crayons. It's so fun to try new shades and create new looks. And if you have a makeup junkie on your Christmas list, this would be a great option. Happy Wednesday! ~ Cathy.

We are officially in the holiday season and the party invites are piling up. What to wear? I love a great jacket. I picked up this number from Worth New York, and I plan to wear it dressed up with black slacks, and more casual with my jeans. It is smashing with a turtleneck or camisole. A statement necklace or some bold earrings can totally change up the look. If you're like me, I have different sets of friends, acquaintances and colleagues, so I can stretch my wardrobe dollars by wearing the same pieces as the party guest lists are unique! Have fun, and don't drink too much egg nog. ~ Pat.
