When we think of neutrals we often think of them as the base & then add other colors, but neutrals can also work well together. Here we have a pale blush top, olive skirt & taupe shoes & bag: all neutrals but overall they provide an easy look for a Friday afternoon out with the ladies :)
If you are like me, you have an assortment of fun sandals for virtually every occasion. We all have our favorites and go-to choices, right? But every now and then, it is really cool to just go out on a limb and pick a wild looking pair. These Sam Edelman's caught my eye and when I learned that they were inspired from the Jenny character in Forrest Gump, well, how could I resist! ~ Cathy.

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but white jeans are a close second. I have already worn my trusted pair many times this season. White is huge this year, with many white-on-white outfits featured in the fashion magazines. They can be dressed up or down, and can take you from brunch to dinner by adding some heels and sparkly jewelry. Enjoy! ~ Pat.

At the end of a long day, are you tempted to roll into bed sans cleaning your face? Shame on you! Really, there is no excuse for that. In days of old, I would at least rub over a washcloth over my made up face, but now, I absolutely love having a good alternative to doing the lazy route. Face wipes are my favorite end of day staple, but the Simple versions are the only ones that I trust to not irritate my skin and they are super cheap too! They work for all skin types. ~ Cathy.
It's a new season, so time for a new look! Our winter makeup is looking a little dark and tired, so consider some new colors to perk things up. I scored a Lancôme free gift with purchase, and can't wait to try these new eye shadows. Nice ladies at makeup counters everywhere are happy to help you update your makeup routine and put you in a spring mood! ~ Pat.
Do you love maxi dresses? Oh I sure do! When they showed back up in 2009 in their current rendition, I thought they had a limited shelf life. But wrong I was! They are enjoying a long run and for good reasons. They can go casual or dressy, depending on the choice of accessories and shoes, and are usually extremely comfortable as well as flattering. And such pretty choices! ~ Cathy.
May all your sunsets be as pretty as this one in beautiful Marco Island, Florida. ~ Pat.
Okay, I have tried...and tried.. and... well, you get the idea. I have tried many foundations - more than I can even count. Sometimes, I give the drug store options a shot and for a while, I am almost sold. But there always seems to be something not quite right. Trying to match skin tone to a sealed bottle is extremely difficult so there's that for starters. While I firmly believe that there are fantastic low cost cosmetics out there that work really well for many situations, there is nothing like a lux foundation to set the tone for your entire make up routine. My favorite is this one. It's worth the price. Really. ~ Cathy.
Have you spotted all the great print pants everywhere? So festive and comfortable, they are a "must" for this season. I actually saw this Joseph Ribkoff pair on a model at a local fashion show, and rushed over to the shop as soon as it was over. I plan on wearing them a lot, dressed up or casual. Perfect for travel too! ~ Pat.
If I was going to a party and could only buy one new thing, it would definitely be shoes! I love them so much and after a few meh seasons, I am seeing many awesome pairs at virtually every store, including many in suede. (Yes, suede can work beyond winter) I have been looking for some new sandals for an upcoming trip and came across these. What do you think? Winners? ~ Cathy.

This is a wonderful time of year with all the beautiful flowers blooming. Time to be inspired and bring out your spring clothes and put away the wooly ones. Organize your closet and do an honest evaluation before buying anything new. Make a list of pieces you need to buy or replace so when shopping you can stay focused and within budget. Enjoy! ~ Pat.
Recently, I have noticed that the best new lip colors are going in the direction of more peachy nudes than very bright colors. Not that bright pinks and reds are out of the picture, but with the continued popularity of the smoky eye, a more subtle lip is really pretty for spring.
Here are three great options, including one from the very affordable Rimmel London lipstick line designed by model extraordinaire Kate Moss. Pucker up! ~ Cathy.
Sometimes all you need to brighten an outfit - or your day - is a great pair of earrings. I purchased this set of Kendra Scott beauties and even got to design them myself! You pick out the stones and they add them to the fittings. So fun! Can't wait to wear them with all my spring clothes. ~ Pat.

I am beside myself that this "trend" is still a thing in some circles. Seriously, why on earth would you pay for clothing that has been literally through a wringer? I was in line the other day and a cute girl in front of me had on a blouse/jacket that had several holes and shredded areas. I almost offered her money to go buy a new shirt until I remembered that this was done on purpose. She probably paid $200 or more for that thing. For me, if Goodwill won't take them since they are torn up, then I think it is safe to say that I will not be buying these items new from a store. Tacky. ~ Cathy.
I have been seeing quite a few dresses like this lately. They have the shorter length underneath and then a longer sheer panel overlay. I am a bit on the fence as to how much I like these. This one has a shorter underpinning than some of them, but I thought it was quite pretty. What do you think? Will you be wearing this style? ~ Cathy.
