I like this look as it has served me well most of the time. And I may or may not get around to working out, but at least I'm ready if the mood strikes (as long as I have workout shoes handy). But...I must confess something... This is not the best look if you want to get top service. I find that I want to be more or less anonymous and definitely am not on my game when I go this route. Isn't it always the case when you look a bit shabby, you run into someone that makes you want to hide?
To experiment, last Saturday, I went the extra mile. I got properly fixed up and took on the day. Cute casual outfit, hair nicely styles, makeup....check! It made a big difference. People were much more eager to wait on me and there was a noticeable improvement in the level of service. It was not exactly a revelation because I am a huge supporter of dressing up nicely to fly for this very reason. The slobs I see at the airport make me shudder in their house shoes, pajama pants, over sized shirts and hoodies. While I will never give up my yoga attire every time I am out and about on the weekends, my lazy outfits will be slightly less desirable for a full day of running around the city.
