This is my go to type of outfit when out at the weekends: jeans, heeled boots, cute top, & a great jacket. Pair with some nice jewelry pieces & a great bag. Here I'm wearing: Blue heeled boots: Boden; Skinny jeans: WHBM; Red top: WHBM; Leather jacket: purchased from England so can't remember!; Black tote: Cuyana; Necklace: Sole Society. ~ Andrea.
That moment you find yourself online browsing for booties but then decide to check how many you have first.... =D
There are dresses and then there are dresses... I saw this one and couldn't believe how incredible this design is and how unique and unusual. It would be one for a very special occasion (New Year's Eve?), but what a statement it would make! ~ Cathy.

I don't know about you, but I will end up buying Christmas presents until the very last second! Fortunately, when I popped in Kiehl's today, I found some really great gift options for men and women of all ages. This fantastic set would be ideal for the guy or gal on the go. Flying is now so stressful so this would definitely come in handy during a long flight or for the day after. And how cute is this cool sleep mask? ~ Cathy
Hey gals, are you gearing up for the intense party season ahead? I know I am and while I normally go for either a darkish red/burgundy nail color like Essie's Wicked or my old OPI fav-Bubblebath, I came across this very affordable section and was thrilled! I wouldn't normally go all glittery for my nails, but for a fancy holiday or New Year's Eve event, I think there are options here that would make me smile all night long. ~Cathy
Remember when ladies were given corsages for special occasions? I always enjoyed that tradition, and wonder why it faded away. This 1950's gal sure had a pretty one to match her dress on a Christmas long ago! In fact, the dress and statement necklace would be a hit this year as well.
Happy Memories ~Pat
Aahhhh, the holidays. Shopping. Cooking. Decorating. Visiting. Traveling. Eating. Stressing. Let's all keep in mind - the best things in life really are free. Enjoy family, friends and the beauty around us. Wishing you Merry Days ~ Pat
I know giving perfume as a Christmas gift is a very tricky business. The recipient can feel they are too strong, too much floral, too much spice, too sweet... Very challenging indeed. But there are time when some of us ... ahem... would really loved to be surprised be one that is just right. A few weeks ago, a friend of mine who works for a fragrance line gave me a very generous sample of what is now my very favorite. I knew about Bulgari's jewelry line, but didn't know they had also delved into perfumes. This is just such an ideal choice not only for me, but I plan to choose it for a gift or 2 this Christmas. ~Cathy

Ah,yes...It is Houston's "fall." That means the temps drop below 80 degrees for at least a few days at a time. So to me, then and only then am I geared up to shop for boots. I have still basically been wearing sandals since March! Here are a few boots choices that definitely caught my eye. What do you think?~ Cathy

I love these old photos. And the shoes. And the oversized hairbow. And the odd backdrop and flowers.
And I still can't figure out what's on her lap...
Stay stylish ~ Pat
So this time of year is tricky for me. I feel like I can give my self permission to shop - Christmas shopping that is. As a shopaholic this can be challenging because I love finding new goodies. But the best part is that once I find a nice little treat, I can usually talk myself into sharing it instead of keeping it all to myself. My recent find is this lip gloss collection. These are minis so they are super convenient to pack in a party purse. ~ Cathy

Here in Houston it's over 80 degrees today - time to put on your sweaters and leggings, decorate the tree, and crank up the A/C! Stay frosty ;~ Pat
This family gem is dated 1931. Love the cloche hats and flapper hairdos. Not too sure about those bulky coats, though. I do miss the days when folks dressed up, even for a day out with friends! Enjoy your memories. ~Pat
I love to wear jeans, but sometimes need to look a bit more dressed up. Throw on a tweed jacket and some boots, and you are ready to go! ~ Pat
It's been a stressful week. Take a deep breath, count your blessings, and hug your loved ones. ❤️ ~Pat
I normally wear nude, tan, brown, or bronze shades of eye shadow. They are safe, and predictable. Yet, at times... perhaps a little boring? For a fun night out, I sometimes like selecting a dark blue to jazz things up. I don't go crazy with it, but just use one of the MAC brands that offers a velvety smooth finish. Skip anything with frost options as they are oh so aging. ~ Cathy
It's Election Day, folks - how about this Stella & Dot statement necklace to liven up your trip to the polls? Layers of fun and festive. Enjoy! ~ Pat
Houston doesn't recognize that it is November. Nah, it says... I'll just keep that thermostat jacked up in the high 80s. But how long can one keep wearing summer attire without looking ridiculous? Solution: Find lightweight flowy dresses in more autumn tones. I love olive green and think this would be a welcome addition to my wardrobe. Check out the crochet details. Pretty cool paired with these fetching open toe booties, right? ~Cathy

I love a good product that can work as a multi-tasker. Don't you? This liquid soap from L'Occitane is just one of my very favorites. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't bother me at all. In fact the shea butter combined with the aloe product makes it perfect for my needs. Have you tried this one? ~Cathy

Back in the day we wore ponchos, short skirts, tights and had long, straight hair. Wait, aren't girls doing that today? Maybe some things never change. Enjoy your memories! ~ Pat
One of the key things to making your makeup, especially your eye shadow pop, is the ability to properly highlight the area under the brow. In days past, there was this garish shimmery white potion that women would often use right under their brow area to finish off their eye makeup. But thankfully, other options are now available that look much more natural and achieve a far better end result. While there are several products that tackle this area, I am most impressed with Jentry Kelley's Brow Lift. No shimmer, but just the perfect crème glow to give your brows the illusion of being lifted in an oh so subtle way. ~ Cathy

I treated myself to a much-needed pedicure yesterday, and settled on this Essie polish called "Mochacino." It's a shiny brown, and a great transitional color into fall. With all the peep toe boots out there this season, don't forget your toenails! ~ Pat
Mercifully, the temperatures are at last cooling down around here. For weeks, even though the calendar said it was "Fall", the weather was anything but. Trying to find clothing that was agreeable to temps in the 90s while not looking like your were still stuck in summer wear has been challenging. But now finally, one can begin to embrace some new additions to their wardrobe. And I think this sleeveless top with leather pants is such a fun pick for a night out on the town. Definitely not summer attire, but a sleek look that would be great topped with a fitted jacket for cooler evenings. ~ Cathy

Recently I took a trip to beautiful Biltmore House in charming Asheville, North Carolina. The gardens alone are worth a visit! What is your favorite place to travel? What's on your "bucket list?" ~ Pat
